1 year on and still no diagnosis

A year ago I developed terrible pain on the bottom of my right heal, whilst out walking.
Standing up worsens the pain and when I walk it can move around the bottom of my foot.

I have done physiotherapy, tried different shoe inserts and seen a number of podiatrists.

Eventually I saw a surgeon who ordered x-rays, an MRI and nerve tests.

All of which came back normal – ruling out common conditions like plantar fasciitis or neuropathy.

I am really stumped on where to go from here. Does anyone have any helpful advice?

I’m in my twenties and not being able to walk or run as I would like to is really getting me down.

TLDR: Can’t find what’s wrong with my foot and don’t know what to do.

presume you have had a full range of blood tests to rule out any type of arthritis? What is the consultant recommending? Sometimes a cortisone injection will settle things down . is this NHS? You could ask for a second opinion?

Yes NHS, I have regular blood tests because of Crohn’s Disease – they have said the issue is not related and bloods are good.

Interestingly I found this lesser known condition last night called Cuboid Syndrome A lot of what the page says fits what I have experienced.

I think I am going to see an osteopath, as it looks like manipulation is one form of treatment and other professionals haven’t been able to help.
