Hi Ok so where do i begin, I have suffered with constipation and digestive issues for as long as i can remember, i have had 2 colonoscopy 4 egd was diagnosed with internal hemorrhoids that come out from time to time when to much strainging a year ago i had a baby in labor 3 days got to 9 centi whole pushing still ended in emergency csection. (WELL ALL THAT PUSHING CAUSED MY HEMORRHOIDS TO FLARE HORRIBLY) bleeding itching prolonged pain, fast forward i had my surgery on the 19th I did the prep an enema the night before and one in the morning 2 hours before hospital check in. They gave me tylenol said it should help with the aftermath pain 類 After my surgery was complete i was in so much pain they gave me dilauda(not sure spelled correctly) Did not touch the pain fentnyl helped for all of 10 min i was discharged with percocet. i have never been in so much pain. my first and second poop felt like HARD BALLS OF FIRE which i had to take citric mag and dolcolax to help move me still with extreme pain. i have tried ice sitz baths preperstion h cooling tucks with only minimal relief. ALSO I KEEP THE URGE TO WANT TO STRAIN EACH TIME I USE THE BATHROOM WHY??? (which i am sure has cause something to pop out of place) THIS IS BY FAR THE WORSE PAIN I HAVE FELT IN MY LIFE!!! And i have had 2 children vaginal split from end to end and csection and i will gladly redo either before this surgery!! ANY HELP FOR SOME TYPE OF RELIEF ??
sorry for all your problems do you drink alot of water or juices?that is a start right there. the more you drink the better youll be in going tooo the bathroom. it makes your stool softer.. plus regular working out helps also; do you take stool softeners?. this thing is a best way too get great help for what i just told you your doctor will tell tell you the same thing. i had 3 of the removed last year. today i,m doing awsome . i,m back too training hard again andf it feels great .
Thomas - did you went for banding procedure.
water to the max, as much as you can drink, take 2 advil and 2 tylenol every 4 hrs together, Nyquil to stay asleep as much as you can, when having Bowel Movements you must go directly into sidz filled with very warm water, absolutely no starch so no bread, rice, pasta. etc try eating melons, figs, prunes, brand, and soups, first month is a roller coaster through hell, I had Hemmerectomy/fissurerectomy was horrible but now so glad I did it…Good Luck
i drink alot of water eat alot of fruit and as of today a year later i still eat good and i,m doing very well.and today i,m not a pain in the buttwhen i had the surgery i ask the doctor or i told him it,s offical now i,m a pain in the butt they laugh at it . and i had good laughs with themand i still keep my smiles at alot of people i,m glad i had it done. pain some what alittle but really not much i did alot of walking icing
Thank you. Yes i drink lots of water apple juice take my stool softners i do a little walking but cant work out its to painful.
I drink lots of water i have been taking only tylenol but i woll add the advil and see how that works. I was trying to think of ways to get more sleep never thought of nyquil i will get some today. The sitz bath work during bowel movements but after the pain feels like week 1. i have to lay very very still afterwards until i am able to move again lol I have lost 9 pounds so far from my eating habit change. Thank you for the advice
tacoya sorry to hear that you are having so much difficulties. your story sounds alot like mine w the exception that i have not done the surgery. i have suffered with hemorroids for like 20 years. they became progressively worse after the birth of my now 16 year old. i have not gone through the surgery because I’ve heard how painful it is but at my worst I am out of work for a week each time it flares up. i seriously need to have it taken care of. I’m wondering what is the recovery time and are you feeling any better since the surgery
If you suffer from chronic pain from hemmeroids or fissures the operation isn’t that bad, because your used to the pain…Most people are getting external hemmeroids removed cause the itching and burning, they never get a taste of the pain until the operation so it is new to them…with that being said go ahead and schedule the procedure, it will be the best choice to make..
Thank you. I think its time to do it. just wondering how long the recuperation time will be.
Not gonna lie its deffinitley not comfortable, but it’s a life changer at the end…I had a Hemmerectomy/ fissurerectomy honestly say the pain was no worst then a flare up, still gonna be a rough month or two, just stay super hydrated and go to bathroom in sidz, you’ll know what you have to do..
Thanks for your honesty.
n.p. and good luck, you’ll do fine…If your in the n.y. tried state, I could recommend a surgeon..
excuse the spell check…
Im in england for what its worth. i developed piles and a fissure after having a big heart surgery two months ago. That was open heart surgery but a doddle compared to my rear end problems.Paid for a private consultation out of desperation and bless my consultant he offered to get me in on the nhs the same week, had i known what was coming i might have not attended!. Last thursday i had banding x6, a skin tag removed and the fissure debrided. I also had two botox injections to relax the area and help the fissure heal.
My wife walked me out of the hospital at 1.30. Before i got to our van i was in tears with pain, journey home 20 miles horrendous and the following 36 hours a nightmare. I didnt know what to do with myself, sit, stand, lie down or just sob, it wont leave you alone or go away.
Since then its subsided mostly until i go to the loo, theres no blood any more but 6,8 hours later it is still very sore. Usually subsides with painkillers (paracetomol) and (ibuprofen) enough to go to sleep,i then start the whole process over the following morning.Days just drift past in pain.Hospital inform me its going to be another 5 days before it subsides,i also think i had a lot more done in one op than is usual. A lot of it is tension and anxiety because you are frightened to go to the loo and it really depresses you.
My diet is fine with small amount of laxative so im doing all i can. I fully understand all your suffering, its bloody awful and your loved ones cant understand the agony or help you.
love to you all dealing with this misery.

hi there i had the same procedure done yesterday and it does not seem right that you are experiencing that level of pain as this is the least non invasive surgical procedure . . I wonder if you should speak to the drs involved in your care. Using a stool softner such as LAXIDO sachets and drinking heaps if water . I wonder if some of the pain relief meds are making you constipated as alot of them do . ive been trying to stick to regular ibuprofen and paracetomol . hope your feeling better soon
