10 weeks on 50mg sertraline and suddenly feeling awful. Anyone have anything similar?

Have been taking sertraline for 10 weeks (50 mg). Did start to have some better days but these last few days have been awful.Hoping that someone may be able to help me, a couple of weeks ago l was really hopeful, now I’m not sure.

hi C
The fact that you had some good days means you are on the road to recovery. The psychiatrist told us that the recovery is lijke the stock market. Did you just start to feel better, ie about 10 weeks into treatment?

hi there! somebody suggested that i join the Face book group- Zoloft (sertraline) Bruno truth group!

you will find lots of info on there to help you through the weeks! It can take 3-4 months to level with blips along the way.. ive also heard that week 11 can be a tough one..

Im sure youre just not leveled on that dose yet! the fact youre having good days means its working so hang in there!

Thank you for replying. l started having a few better days around 7 weeks. since then it has been like the ‘stock market’ and seems particularly bad at the moment. l am encouraged by your psychiatrists comment. l want to persevere because reviews seem good for sertraline. l just felt so down this morning it helped me to use this website.

Thanks for replying and reassuring me that the good days mean it is working. l have joined the Bruno Truth group and it is very informative and good. On days like today l find it therapeutic to use both web sites.

Hi C
It really helps, this forum. I am glad I can contribute a little. Let us know how you are doing. My son is on 150mg Clomipramine for 5 weeks now. He is not feeling the good days yet. Hope he will be ok soon. Take care C, wherever you are.

Hi C, hang in there. This too shall pass. This med is working for you because your body is responding to it. Recovery will have up days and down days, but overall, it will head up to more better days, like the stock market. Stay strong, and NEVER EVER give up hope. Get rest, take your meds, take a short walk, try to get some sunlight, eat healthy, no caffeine, take care.

Thanks, you really are so good in replying and giving encouragement.
