10 weeks post op , lumpy feeling

Hi all, a few days ago I started getting the feeling like I have a lump in my hip I can feel it when I sit and when I am laying down too.. when i literally feel down there with my hand I dont feel any lumps though.. is this just muscle or something?anyone else feel lumpy? lol

Hi I will be 10 weeks post op on Monday ! And even now I am still bruised! I went for hydrotherapy on Monday and enjoyed it but have to book in again! I have over done things! Let's face it its a major op! We all heal in different ways! Regards Amanda

I know the feeling. I too feel it when I'm lying down and when I try to turn onto my left hip which was operated on I feel like a lump where the replacement is but was told that is normal.

i wear compression pantyhose or any control top pantyhose to aid with blood flow. I told my surgeon this and he said it could only be good for your leg as sometimes it goes numb

Hi Dawn ... LOL indeed - I feel lumpy in my upper thigh and hip as well ... maybe the new hardware ?  not so comfortable is it ??? and I feel a weird soreness in my back, right above the joint .... I guess it is all part of the road to recovery - take care - our bodies are working so hard to repair the trauma .... be kind to your self !
