11 weeks post op and struggling with sciatic pain

Hey Ladies,

I’m 11 weeks post op (full abdominal hysterectomy) and am really struggling with sciatic pain down both legs. Has anyone experienced this after their surgery? My back hasn’t been right since the op :roll_eyes:

Hi Julie I know how you feel I’m 5 months on and I’ve had really bad sciatic down left leg I suppose everything gets disturbed and moved during the operation my scar is the most painful often burns and drags when I’ve overdone things it seems to be a very tough recovery process. gentle leg stretches help a bit. take it easy keep mending

Thanks for your reply Teresa. It’s been a shock to the system just how much the op has affected me and in what ways. It appears to be a more difficult recovery than you’re led to believe. I’ve been in chronic pain and it’s having a very negative affect on me.
Time and patience I guess.
