Anterior prolapse repair and TOT uretha sling 12 days ago.
Im wondering is it normal and has anyone else had this symptom early mornings.
I still get up at 2am and 4 to wee...alls fine at 2am and throughout the day.
At my 4am wee things change. Its about to bust pressure to wee behind the pubic bone but when I go its only a dribble and the worst stinging way up next to the bladder....very simular to the burning sensation when you have a bladder infection. Every 30 mins Im up with the urge to wee but only a small amount comes out. Finally about 7am it settles down and Im able to wee normally all day without any stinging. I had this stinging since I came out of surgery first thing in th mornings.
Could it be imflamation still from surgery or is all this just going to take time to heal and disappear on its on. Im still 5 weeks from seeing the doc for my first post op exam.
Has anyone else felt like this in the early weeks?
Hi Crystal sorry to hear about your problems, I am 2weeks post op and I have to get up twice through the night which I didn't before the op so maybe this is the norm so early on after the op. I am just waiting to see if it settles down. The stinging I dont have just lots of aches and pains in buttocks, legs and lower back I got stronger painkillers to day so hopefully these will work. I would see your GP or phone the ward you where on and tell them your symptoms, hope you get it sorted soon xxx

I've had this quite recently, how annoying is this! Ok for about a week I was in pain and very little wee except the first big one, and I was drinking lots of water.
The stinging too was an issue for the first month, then it settled down so I'm guessing that's healing in progress huh? Using pads irritated me too but after a while this all stops.
Ok, to help with the urine issue my homeopath suggested peppermint tea. Its been brilliant and now i wee perfectly normally. It seems to calm the stomach somehow.
If there's an unusual smell though you might need to consult your doctor.

No stinging at all this am and normal flow.
It must be a reaction to codeine, never had a problem before to it.
