12 months been feeling off balance and like the floor is moving from under me ever since my gallblad

For the last year since my gallbladder surgery i have been feeling off balance and light headed mainly while in standing position my gp say it's all anxeity and Depression I need to no has anyone else had this and then got better if so how did u do it please im after my wits end.

Before I had my gallbladder out my blood pressure (resting) was 120-130/80. After surgery and up to date my average resting is 100/50. The operation has altered my blood pressure which causes the occasional lightheadedness. I'd I test the blood pressure at the doctors office it's higher due to the anxiety of testing in the doctors office. Might be worth looking into for you.

I have POTS which causes those symptoms and managed by cardiology

I've been to doctors and hospital nearly once a week in the last year all the BP test they do they say are perfect done them standing siting all they come up with is anxeity and depression I have also seen a physciatrists had cbt with no improvement she said it is an adjustment anxiety but keep thinking it's something more serious thanks for ur advice anyway samantha

Pots is .

I never thought to think it could be gallbladder related but I did have it for about 6 months after I moved. I just put it down to slight vertigo and having to use a lift after moving into a top floor flat but I have cleaned up my diet and I no longer get it. I was eating a lot of sugar at the time and junk food so it could maybe be something you are eating that just isn't agreeing with you?

Thanks for ur reply so u had this happen I guess u have had ur gallbladder removed i think it has something to do with my diet as well cause I do cop it after I eat.

But I get it constantly on most of the days the off balance feeling while standing and slightly while sitting but driving im 100% like nothing is rong.

Please i need answers has anyone had this and gotten better.

I have also been to a chiropractor and acupuncturists with no benefits just getting worse day by day .

I went to the doctors yesterday, when I entered my BP was taken and the reading was 118/52. I knew it was raised as it always goes up in the doctors surgery. After visiting the doctor he decided I needed some tests doing. I had to go to another part of the hospital and within the space of 20 minutes the next nurse took my BP again and it was 129/65. I have a heart rate monitor I use daily for the gym early morning and these readings were both high for me. It's just a thought. Good luck.

Seriously check out POTS. You can also download the standing test app if you follow the instructions you will get a good indication whether you have it all not. Pots can start and be secondary to surgery or infection and causes anxiety too. I get vey dizzy and my feet and arms go purple and numb if stood on the spot for anytime. I was diagnosed 4 months ago before my gall bladder op

Hi Jim, I do believe gallbladder isuues may predispose to dizzy spells as I have had them myself still with gb but it has been making me very ill - drs did not think it connected of course. I'm awaiting surgery and have been for many months as the NHS keeps cancelling, but I truly hope I won't be worse off after, I cannot eat much now.

Have you looked up post prandial hypoglycaemia, Jim? This seemed to fit my symptoms as I was worse after eating and had to have the paramedics out due to low blood sugar, but I'm not diabetic or anything. It all started with gb troubles flaring up. You can also get hypotension just after meals. Otherwise you may be having trouble abbsorbing nutrients due to lack of gallbladder - have you had blood tests to screen for vitamin or mineral deficiencies? I had to pay for a private test as my GP was not interested and vitamin D was too low, I do feel better taking it. Do you eat enough good fat in your diet? Again, I had been avoiding fats as you are told due to gb but adding a little more good fats has really helped the dizziness as has a little more protein which was really difficult for me as my digestion is very weak now.

Hope you can find a solution soon, take care.

Yeah I've had it out for 2 and a half years now but I ate extremely healthy until last year when I moved in with my other half and it took a back burner. I got it randomly also. I could be standing for a while and then suddenly get the feeling like I was swaying but only my head. After cutting out gluten foods i haven't had them and rarely get them when I do have a little treat that contains gluten in them

Hi Cynthia i can't believe you are waiting for your op. I've got no further forward with mine. I phoned up to give me some idea of how long the list is eg 6months a year etc but got no information at all. She ended up saying thanks for calling and put the phone down on me. Do keep us up to date with your progress. Hope you feel better soon. You've waited too long. Jill

Hi Jill, we have drawn the short straw it seems! I've now transferred to another hospital as the first was not getting anywhere and it did set my waiting time back but I hoped they would be more reliable as they have greater resources but as the doctors strikes are looming again I am wondering how this will pan out. So, still in limbo and it seems so are you. Are you having much pain? I am just so tired and unwell rather than big attacks. The drs are not interested in any problems I have now, they just say come back after the op if still bothered by symptoms. I may change gp surgery as there is so little point in going at the moment and all they are saying is keep doing what you are doing, your bloods look ok. Thanks for your support and I hope things improve for you too, keep updated, Cynthia

So it does getter hopefully . Thank u for ur concern once again .I will try diet

Thank u Cynthia I will look into it thanks and hope ur surgery goes well. please keep us updated on how u go just want this ugly feeling to pass it's been too long.
