13 days post op

Can't believe how quickly the time is going ...physio today ..telling off for doing too much ..both legs measured and luckily both still same length ..I was a bit worried ..but been told that I must use two sticks for at least the next two weeks ..as lower back taking the brunt ..pain control good apart from at night ...I'm sure it's just because of all the healing..but boy does it exhaust you ..

Hope all you new hippies (and all you more down the line ones ) are doing well ...those still waiting my thoughts are with you ..don't worry ..to be honest ,can't believe how good I'm feeling ..gx

Good for you. I'm seven days, and like you, just can't believe how great I feel now. My life is back! This morning I slightly pulled something in my groin doing my exercises, and told all my friends how great this was! When they looked at me like I needed psychiatric help, I just pointed out that one week ago I literally could not move my hip a millimeter, so pulling something whilst moving it is absolutely fantastic!

Yes I totally understand..I'm so grateful for this ,not just physically but mentally too ,hadn't realised how worn down I had been ...I'm also enjoying not having to go to work ..I'm not planning on going back till Feb ..but already know I'm going to be making changes ..Keep on going Beth ..gx

You make me feel so excited to get this done and get my life back!  I'm feeling so tired now mentally and physically.

That's great Gail!  To not have that grinding pain is soooo good!  Carry on the good work!

Hi Gail,

Thank you for sharing - very encouraging -

wow, you are doing really great - good advice to keep using the 2 sticks -

Not only your lower back takes the brunt, but your body is still in major healing mode and not able to balance you yet ... ditching the aids too soon might result in limping -

Healing takes a lot of energy and it might be possible that you tire easily in the coming weeks .... no worries, it is is normal ..

your body will let you know what she wants , so please listen to her, okay ...

big warm hug
