14mm gallstone and stomach gastritis / ulcer

Hi , pls I need advice . I have gallstone 14 mm ,diagnosed 6 month back , dr said for surgery and said to lose weight , I lost 10 kg and symptoms were better but as I eat problematic food , symptoms are back , the other problem I am facing is I am having on and off gastritis . Gp referred me for gastro . Appointment haven't came yet . If anyone been through same pls advice me what I should do . Two problems stomach gastritis and gallstone .

Ei had my gallbladder remover due to sever pain. Now is important to stay away from fatty , fried foods. Staying away from restaurants is helpful.

Eating yogurt and healthy cooked foods not boxed foods from stores. Fix your own food. Also probiotics like in yogurts another foods that add to the good bacteria in the gut.msee the list on this forum.

stay away from sugar carbs and corn in foods wheat.

Start out slowly by eating yogurt first then begin to prepare your own foods follow the palso diet or the diabetic foods they ate both good for the GB .

i hope you get better soon however once stones begin in the gallbladder my gastrologist said its a long term complication and better to remove the gallbladder.

i feel for you it's so miserable. Really changing you food intake is very important.

I am so sorry to hear this. Main thing, keep away from the fatty foods and stick with a low fat diet. This will help with the attacks. As for gastritis, you might want to try soups and clear liquids so nothing heavy will upset your stomach lining. I know it's tough, but try to hold on until you make your appointment with the gastroenteroligist. There might be something that is an underlying problem. Rest and relaxation is important.

Just get surgery already will probably help the gastritis if you have gallstones/ gallbladder removed I had same thing had emergency surgery (gallbladder removal) and no more sign of gastritis. Good luck
