16 week post golbladder surgery

Hi all!  just thought you'd like to know how i  got on last night with my meal out.  Well, i  didn't have a  starter, but just had plain grilled chicken with mashed potato and mashed carrots.  i  just had a  small portion, and didn't have a  desert.  i  only had water to drink.  everything went really well, and i  didn't feel bloated or have the dreaded nosea or diarrhoe. my friend and her hubby gave me for my birthday a  set of Jersey pearls and earings.  The only thing i  found was that the chicken was a  bit dry.  Anyway, thanks again to you all for your replies and support, and would like you all to keep in touch.  Val.

Hi Valerie that is fantastic news. Just stick to plain food for now. Some of us need to be gentle with our bodies after gallbladder removal. Most recover quickly but in some of us it just takes a little bit longer. Try and keep positive and avoid reading too much on the Internet. I got myself into a right state when I read all the horror stories but from what I see majority of people settle within 6 months. Keep in touch. All will be ok. X

Good for you! That sounds like a good meal and a great time with your hubby and friends! Your  birthday? HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY WISHES!!! Yes, I hope we all keep in touch...

Glad you had an enjoyable meal, try putting a little soya or lactose free spread on the chicken helps stop the dry feeling.

Well done Val! great news love hope it carries on like that for you, Love Sandra xxxx

Congratulations!  Sounds like a feast to me!  Glad you enjoyed it and had a lovely birthday.
