17 years old. Self-diagnosed phimosis. What are my options?

Hi. I am a 17 year old male, and my foreskin is too tight to be pulled back behind the glans when erect. When flacid, I can pull it back with no problems. I do not have pain with masturbation, but I have concerns about having sex. A buddy of mine ripped his skin quite badly and got some scarring when he had sex, and I am concerned as he also had tight foreskin. I've read that phimosis usually self-treats through puberty, but seeing as I am a very late bloomer it may just not have been fixed yet.(voice changed around the end of summer last year(just before turning 17)) I think maybe I have had improvements over the years, but I'd like to resolve the issue. Any help or tips is much appreciated.

hello buddy, you should seek medical intervention to prevent an “unpleasant” scar during sexual intercourse.

So they could cut it a bit, make it looser in clinic to make a good looking “scar” (if any) rather than getting one during a sexual intercourse that could lead to complications later on IMO

For the vast majority of males no external intervention is required, such as from a doctor - stretching fixes most issues related to Phimosis if the stretches are done consistently, and without trying to force the foreskin to change before it has developed sufficient elasticity and resilience.
