19 year old with chest infection. Can coughing fits cause Haemorrhoids? Picture included (hopefully)

Hi, I have just noticed this growth extruding from my anus, Is it just an haemorrhoid? I have been having really strong coughing fits due to a chest infection.

Hi Tom,
that looks like a hemorrhoid to me. You can get them from exertion like constipation, so always use a step under your feet when you have a poo. If you’ve been coughing hard it may well have provoked an existing hemorrhoid. Go see your GP to be sure. There are good treatments available now. You spotted it early, so outlook is better. Let us know how you get on Xx
