Hi Terry,I have been posting to get some encouragement in order to get started on the prescribed Celexa. Well I took the plunge, and so far I am on day 3 of 10mg. Feeling a little anxious, but that was there before, a little less appetite, but doing ok so far. As you said you are feeling rotten anyway, so I doubt the Celexa will make you feel a whole lot worse. Perhaps you could speak to your Dr about something for your anxiety until you are over the withdrawls of Venlafaxine and settled on the Celexa. It should be an option. Hang in there and keep us posted on your progress. Keep going, it will get better.
h terry ve been on 40mg citrolpram for 2 1/2 years doctoor put me on venlaxafine 75mg a5 weeks ago and last week changed it and put me on 150mg venlaxafine.
You may have the side affects for a few days as changing the meds does make you feel weird but my doctor told me that citralopram doesnt hang around in the system maybe this is the same with venlaxafine you had it the other way round to me, i suppose its the bodies way of telling you things are adjusting. try for a bit longer, good luck wish you better.
thanx lee for yor reply , i hope the celexa works for you keep us posted , as i say just dont wont to feel any worse than i do now as it is a struggle , most people say it takes 6_ 8 weeks before it starts to work just cant wait that long as felt so bad for to long
thanx jayne , how are you finding the venlaxafine , it worked for me for a while but then it stoped , the withdrawes are what are making me feel so bad , more physical than mentally , if you find the venlaxafine doesnt work for you , dont stay on it to long as it can be hard to withdraw from , i wish you well good luck
