1st rash only on butt cheek?

Had protected sex about 10 days ago with unprotected oral both ways. I noticed a rash on my butt cheek about 4 days ago. I do not have a rash anywhere else except my butt cheek. Is it possible to have a 1st outbreak here only? I had no other symptoms except this rash/bumps.

If you touch it and don’t wash your hands it is possible to spread it to another area. My 1st outbreak was on the back of my thigh and now they are on my butt. I am on suppressive meds so I haven’t had an outbreak in almost 2 yrs but if I feel like something weird is going on I will double up on my meds for 5 days. It’s hard living with the stigma of this disease but just know that life is not over it keeps moving just take it day by day.

So i started getting some itching on my calf and noticed i have the same looking rash/bumps there as well? There seems to be patches running up the right side of my leg (not left at all). I counted about 5 different areas like this. Any ideas? I have a doctor appointment Wednesday, should i see someone sooner? pic attached is calf.

Odd thing is I inspected every single area around my genital region and not a bump, cut, or anything what so ever. Now I see they I had red marks all up my leg as well as the exact same blisters. Not sure what to think to be honest.

what type of clinic? urgent care or one that specializes in std testing? I have VA but they will take 2 weeks to see me.

Of course I know that you already know this but go get tested as soon as possible so that you can at least stop stressing over what it may be if it is hsv stress causes outbreaks.

i would not have any skin to skin contact as its contagious also wash hands and do not touch the areas as u will spread it about

I went to urgent Care today and they said it was shingles. i have an appointment with my doctor Wednesday and i will get tested there and update if anything changes. thanks for the help.

I did get chicken pox as a kid. As soon as he saw my butt/leg after telling him symptoms he said it was shingles and gave me a prescription to an anti-viral med. I already booked an appointment for this coming week and will get swabbed to make sure. I’ll update if anything changes with the dx

I know this was 9 months ago but just wondering a few things…

Did you ever get the swabs to differentiate between herpes zoster(shingles) and hsv1 or 2?
How long did it take to go away?
