I've been on the tabs a week now... ate amazingly last week, hardly anyfat, lots of fruit and veg and no bad snacking... this weekend though i have been soooo bloated, and constipated its been awful!! I've spent the whole weekend trying not to pass wind in front of my boyfriend,,,,its been v.difficult!!
i've slipped up twice this weekend though had a chinese tomato and chicken dish with boiled white rice (as i went out with friends and felt there wasnt really a way out of it, unless to not eat or be mega awkard),,, and tonight i ate a steak stew... i will have to try extra hard this week to work it off...
ive also been trying out a range of healthier alternative snacks, from the 'shapers range'. I'm a great lover of the £2.99 meal deal, so have been trying out all the sandwich range (very limited i would say), also their crisps and low fat choc bars. Im loving them! fab alternative to eating a normal choc bar, with under 100cals and 4ish grammes of fat per bar.. its a shame they dont sell them in multipacks....
does any one know of any tasty low cal +low fat snacks out there???????
the wind is unfortunately part of the course, does your bf know you are on the blues? just explaining that this is a side effect of the tablets and reminding him and yourself of the positive side effects should make it better.
as for the constipation it seems most people get it initially for a few weeks then it goes, just make sure you are drinking plenty of water and if you feel really bloated take something like senakot to relieve it.
theres nothing wrong with a treat every now and then, you're building a new eating plan you can carry on, so what if you had 1 chinese in the week, it sounds like you made good decisions where possible with what you ate and theres no reason a beef stew can't be low fat, so long as you're under 15g fat per meal n have max of 30g a day theres no problems.
i rarely snack but i am a fan of puddings and like yogurts, weight watchers frozen deserts (most around 3g each), low fat custard pots and the best one is no fat no sugar jelly which is about 8kcals a portion!
