Hey, Iv had dizzy/lightheaded from time to time with anxiety but it's never lasted all day before, I'm now on day 2 of being so lightheaded I can't fully function .. I have moments when it goes but it's pretty much always there, laying down , standing , trying to fall asleep ect.. Iv booked a appointment with my gp to make sure my blood pressure is fine ect... I'm 99% sure he's going to say it's just my anxiety. Has anyone else delt with this before? No matter what I do I can't shake it off
Have you had any sinus problems, colds in the last month? Are you eating? If you have gatorade in your house drink some in case its related to dehydration. When is your doctor appt? .
No not really no colds, yeah I'm eating fine, Iv been drinking water as usual .. My appointment is in a few hours
Good luck and let us know what the doctor says.
Hello there I suffer from anexiety too & I have the same problem.. theres a time of the day that i feel Dizzy/Lightheaded it usually last about 30 mins to an hour and it goes away. When i feel like that i try not to think about it & I drink a tea that helps me calm down & stay relax.. that feeling is annoying thoe 😣😣
yes Ryan I get this quite a lot especially in the last few months even being off balance I think its related to the anxiety
Well doctor gave me a script for anxiety meds and said I'm fine, however I saw my bp was 113/89 witch is high but I didn't say anything cause I didn't wanna here " it's all anxiety " again .. Plus I guess he didn't appear concerned ... Does anxiety cause high blood pressure ?
Hello , sorry to hear your feeling unwell, I, m new to this post but I can relate to your dizziness.mine lasts for days on end, and at times I, m physically sick.it does sound like anxiety and like yourself I find it hard to believe as the symtoms are very real.i went to a specialist and he gave me excercises to do.here they are, keep your head still then fix your eye on an object looking upwards then downwards, then sideways then reapeat with eyes shut.when walking look further ahead to get focused.I emphasis I, m not medical but this did help me.hopr you better soon
What did the doctor say?
the bottom figure is slightly high but it could be the white coat syndrome the top figure is when your heart is resting and the bottom one is when your heart is working and pumping the blood around hope this reassures you
Yes anxiety can cause a mixed bag of unpleasent feelings and you have done right to make an appointment to see your GP
Ask your GP if breathing exercises will help and even Relaxation technique may also help
Good Luck you know where we are
BOB
I have been dizzy and lightheaded for about a month now,got every test in the world and all came back clear so has to be anxiety,I'm afraid to even leave my house at this point or drive,so I was just prescribed Xanax today but am terrified to take it,any suggestions about taking it
Thanks for the replys , yeah I think it was just anxiety , feel better now, and now I know what the bottom number means I guess it would be a bit high as my heart rate was 106 at the time but I always have a high heart rate when at the docs
Did the doctor give you any solace on how to deal with all this?
Take medication , take it as it comes, exercise , and just to go back and see him when ever i want
