2 month break

I have just had the best 2 months I have had in 6 years! My period was missing and it felt great, all my symptoms seemed to vanish overnight, I felt like a normal person again and even started a new job. Then just out of the blue my period started, along came the palpitations, anxiety, headache, weird surges from my stomach to my head, waking up in the night and general feelings of doom and gloom. My period is very light but I just wish it had stayed away! On a positive note if I feel like I did when my periods do stop I am very excited, I felt like I had a new lease of life, all be it for a short time. Anyone else experience anything like this? I am 50 in August so they must be coming to the end.

so thats how it feels when all is normal.
thanks let me know there is hope

That’s great! I turned 50 6 months ago and they are still heavy every month. I’m hoping that they turn light soon- eventually disappear and feel wonderful!! : )

My last period was a year ago this month and my hot flushes are the worst they have been and i have had insomnia for the last 4 years which isnt getting any better so I hope once you do finally finish it is like your 2 month break, because i certainly dont feel any better for not having a period for 12 months sadly.
sending good health and good wishes to you all
Karen

You went for six years without a period?? You were probably done. I wonder what triggered it? Last October I went without a period for a little over 3 months. Suddenly one showed up in January. But for those few months I felt miserable. I hope I have days like this soon.

Hi Caroline & all the ladies, That uterus does its own thing and even after its done, those stupid ovaries still make your life miserable…those suckers just don’t know when to quit, we should get to decide THAT, some sort of off button…no wishy washy deciding when it works or not…Seriously though, peri-menopause & menopause have some of the worst symptoms and can drag on for years, I had endometriosis for years & a hysterectomy at 35, no periods or birth control, wish I would have done it sooner but, didnt fix the whole problem!! At 37 an ovary removed & bladder repair(endometrial tissue sticks & grows everywhere)…within a few years, I thought I was having a nervous breakdown(happy go lucky, loving life ME) NO, low estrogen…one estrogen pill and whoohoo…stayed on them for way longer than advised but, finally off them last year and having hot flashes, bad for first few months, now just once every few days or sweat at night every few days…I am aware how lucky I am on that portion, watched my Mom rage & strip down for 10yrs, she went through hell…I have severe Migraines though since I was 37, so still hoping I get rid of those once this last dumb ovary croaks…been stuck in a rare out of body Migraine prodrome since June 2019, not one break, its terrible… all Migraine symptoms(lights, smells, sounds, ugh..nausea, vertigo/dizziness, memory loss, loss vision x3, cannot focus, visual floaters & blurry, triggers anxiety) except constant head pain is intermittent, like what I assume a bad trip would feel like, being really high against your will EVERYDAY!! I feel so bad for ALL of you ladies, I truly hope you get some FAST & LONG LASTING solution…I guess we know how torture got its name!! It does get better…the part thats crappy is it takes TIME, you know what THAT means:exploding_head:TAKE CARE & BEST WISHES ALL:wedding::peace_symbol::rainbow::heart::four_leaf_clover::infinity::musical_notes::revolving_hearts:

Take Care mam

haven’t had a period for 4 years and symptoms aren’t better at times worse. but some ppl say it’s different. I think ppl with their periods still have hormones and once it’s stopped the hormones are so low …idk but I wish there was a cure or some kind of help
