2 month checkup

I went to my doctor yesterday for my 8 week checkup. Very positive. My doctor was happy with my knee overall even though my Bend is only 90. He said, "hey, you're in the early days still, still swollen and angry knee. Give it another two months. You walked in here with just a cane your leg is straight, the wound looks great. If you're still can't get to at least 115 bend in two months we can tweak it arthroscopicly. Nothing to worry about."

I felt so much better after the appt. we talked about how to wean myself off Tramadol. I asked him why my knee still hurt so much in the joint he said , it's still swollen, scar tissue and hey, you've been cut up pretty good. It Will heal in time.

Great Job Duckfan! I worked hard to get to 96 at 8 weeks. That's at therapy. In every day work, walking I'm at 90. I'm still in PT. Doc wants me at 105.. sounds like your Dr knows what he's talking about. Keep up the stretching and moving!!

It's good to hit those strides that make us feel like it's getting better and it's worth it!!

8 weeks IS just a good start. Too many people start letting up when things "look good early" and then start having problems.......keep on exercising and don't get excited if you have what appears to be a setback. 13 weeks will be your next benchmark then 6 months. Moderation is the key. Don't overdo things but don't quit doing what you're doing. Nerves are the last thing to heal and that process isn't lineal....you'll have Some ups and downs. You're doing great, just be patient and stay with it.

Love the encouraging words.  Thanks guys!
