2 months after Uterine Fibroid Embolisation and my legs and abdomen are swollen. Did you have it?

Basically I feel like I’m on my period but I’m not...  my legs are swollen and I’m  tired, I have cramps and basically I have the belly of a pregnant woman. I have had an appointment with my GP and she just told me she needs to send me for an ultrasound and she thinks it’s  normal I feel like this. Did anybody went through this same symptoms after UFE? I had mine 2 months ago. Thank you! smile

ME too!!

I had a varicocele embolisation performed 4 months ago and have had a constant pain around the embolisation area since plus some other weird stuff. How did they embolise? With coils or sclerosant or both?

Can't relate to the period style pains but if this is what it feels like my heart goes out to all women!

Oh it’s good to know ! it makes me feel better! I just get so frustrated being all swollen and with cramps without even having my period... I suppose we get swollen because the body is fighting this weird things happening inside us (like this fibroid dying inside).....

Oh bless! Thanks!

About your question.... I have no idea exactly how they did it. But I’ve been felling weird stuff as well... I just think because there are many things going on in our body then we feel weird... I hope the final results are good

Thank you. Try and find out what they did so you know if you need to follow up with a specialist. It might just be prolonged thrombosis which can cause things to play up. For me at the four month point and with other side effects I'm trying to explore a bit more about what is going on. They used both metal coils and sclerosant in my case.

Best of luck. Let us know how it works out for you.
