Hey there, new to this discussion group, but I am having issues with my RTHR that was done on 11/4/15. Recoveries have been great up until this! Recently I have experieneced pain in my thigh and unable to be full weight bearing - feels lilke it is going to give way, very painful, causes a limp, but once I get walking, it seems to be ok? But takes a bit of time.Anyone experience this?
Hi Momma - I am not as far along (just recovering from first surgery, waiting for my second at the end of summer. So no experience like yours.
But this sounds serious - I would see my GP and/or surgeon asap.
Sening prayers and hugs,
L
Hi Momma
No , not had that problem , but you have my sympathy xxxx
Hi I am very simillar in time to you a little before you in May and August, yes...there have been moments of extream ligament pain on my left more damaged side, the second one to get done...I take a Tramadol, take it easy, and the pain goes away.
I now have a Gangolin come up my left foot....that will need an operation to remove...things just are never easy....probably walking in a different way...who knows...but at least I am walking again....leave it for a few days, see how it goes...Ian.
hi momma,
warm welcome to this wonderful forum where we share our personal experiences and stories.
when was the last time you saw your surgeon?
I don't really know what to tell you. ..If it feels like a muscle pain I would do gentle stretching exercises. ..If it is a pain inside my thigh, like feeling the hardware, I would make an appointment with my surgeon. ...just to have peace of mind. .
I had 2 THR surgeries as well and started to get pain along my thigh, sharp ,coming from hip joint. .
saw my surgeon who diagnosed trochanteric bursitis. ..
just let us know how you're getting on,okay. ..
come here anytime you have a question or concern,
big warm hug
Renee
Hi Momma, yes unfortunatey I did. If it continues I suggest you get a MARS MRI to look at the surrounding tissue. I didnt untill there was a lot of damage. Hopefully its strained muscles and physio will help. good luck Patsy X
