That's great Laura, such progress! You should be very proud of yourself. Onwards and upwards.

That's brilliant you should be proud, I am 8 MONTHS still cannot walk a mile without a very achy thigh.  I have not used crutches for few months perhaps a stick might help. By the way I am discharged as okay ?

Lorna

You are recovering so very quickly! Congrats to you! At two weeks I was going through an ordeal, my first time outside since I got home, to get to the surgeon's office  for the two week follow-up.

Fantastic!

Well done Lors,

That has inspired me to really make an effort on Monday as I have a gp appointment.

I know I still need both my crutches thought but very well done.

Gosh well done here's wishing you all the best x

Awesome that gives me hope !!

Boring, but normal - we went off and did the shopping yesterday. I walked all around the supermarket on my crutches (more for safety). No lifting or carrying but it felt good to be doing something normal again.

My leg felt a bit heavy when I got home but had a nap to revive.

Lors, still be aware that, because we are younger, the stem hasn't been cemented and needs to bond with the bone marrow. This can take weeks and you can keep loosening it if you push too far - so REST after activity.
