25 mg Zoloft and chest pain ??

Hey so its my 6th day on 25mg Zoloft which i mainly took to manage anxiety. i didn't have hugely noticeable side effects for first few days but over the past couple days I'm finding it really REALLY hard to concentrate on anything like school work. like i can spend hours just sitting on my bed staring at the ceiling is that normal ? also for the past few hours and right now i am getting a stabbing chest pain on my left side. my heart isn't racing or anything and my heartbeat seems normal. like at times i feel more pressure and its like literally a needle being poked through!! has anyone experienced that ? also i cant think properly / clearly my head just feels really full and heavy!! but i am most concerned about my heart pain right now! I'm going to call my family doctor first thing in the morning its currently 2AM where i live. this is hard! i feel like my anxiety is worsening and i know that's normal but ya its really hard. also i am 19 if that factors into anything.

sorry for the rant but can anyone relate ??

Hi, I am on day 5 of dose Increase and things are getting hard. The good news is thoughts it takes a out a week for it to level out and then it should become easier for you. I took 25mg for a couple of weeks before going up to 50 mg . Hope things improve for you soon

I'd get your chest pain checked out it ccould be just a symptom of anxiety but best be safe and see your doctor. You will feel abit strange on the first few weeks on trying a new antidepressant just bare with it and things will improve! 😊

Hi,

I have the same problem with the concentration / high anxiety etc I find it is worse in the mornings and then gets better through the day, try to make sure you get to sleep - I find taking mine just before i fall asleep stops it from keeping me awake all night. But I would definitely talk with your doctor about the heart pain, hope you're ok

As the others have said, get it checked by the doc, but it's very likely to be anxiety giving the chest pain, from tension in the chest muscles, & of course in an anxious state we then worry about the pain and a feedback loop is created. Hope that helps.
