2 days post op. Operation went well, the only one thing the consultant said was they found deep endometriosis which has been sent away for tests. Has anyone got an idea how long it takes for the results to come back? And how I understand it that endometriosis is not cancerous .

I had a total hysterectomy and was told the doctor found deep endometriosis. I had so many problems before the surgery knew i had huge fibroids but never mentioned about the endometriosis.
I believe it took about 10 days to get results from the
Lab. It's freaky waiting but your surgery is done so you should try to relax...I have surgical menopause and that stinks but hey, no options... I can't take hormones... So I live with it.

I had a hysterectomy and everything was taken away for testing and was told when I went back after 6 weeks to see consultant that it was all clear
I was told at my 2 week appointment about the results.
Thank you big girl for your reply, I remember the consultant saying something about it being sent away and a 6 week check up but all seems a blur X I am resting a lot and drinking plenty. Struggling to eat properly at the moment .

You're correct - endometriosis (endo) is not cancerous. But if the biopsy shows it was endo, be aware that you may still have some in your pelvis since it's difficult to remove it all and hysterectomy isn't a cure. I hope your recovery is going well.
Hi why don't you try the Ladycare magnet from Boots £28 you ware it in you knickers, takes about 6 weeks to kick in but been great for me no more hot flushes etc x
Oh yes- you need to try to eat. It's important you need your strength...
