Hi Every one
Hope you are all having a good week
I've been really good, kept a food diary, recorded calories as well as fat over the last two weeks as requested by my nurse. I've bought a A5 size A-Z book a recorded foods and quantities so U have my own personal calory/fat counter.
Starting weight 13th April 107 kilos/16st 11.9lbs
29th April 104.5 kilos/16st 6.4 lbs -2.5kilos/5.5 lbs
13th May 103 kilos/16 st 3.1 lbs -1.5 kilos/3.3 lbs
Total loss to date 4 kilos/8.8 lbs equivalent to 4 bags of sugar!(My visual incentive).
I'm pleased but have been extremely busy and hope it wont slow down to much especially when I am not as busy - i've got a long 'weigh' to go (sorry my sense of humour
Congrats that a great amount, bet the nurse was pleased.
Thanks  Yes she was, she's pleased i'm well on the way to losing the 5% I need to lose within the first 6 months . I'm motivated at the moment but don't know how i'll feel when it comes to weeks when I don't lose anything, but i'll have to 'cross that bridge when I come to it'. I noticed you've been on the tablets since January How are you keeping motivated?
Any advice on how to work out the calories and fat for food that isn't in packets including meat chicken etc. :?
well getting a bit upset that it's still very slow but to be honest not missing the high fat foods as the low options are really nice.
Actually spoke to my nurse yesterday about possibly trying 2 days a week on slim fast to see if it will kick start things again, she was ok with me trying it but said make sure it's a day when I won't be doing anything much for the day after
not sure if I am going to do it as know I have been a bit naughty over the last week having two meals off the tablets cos of going out and have another night booked next week.
As for counting calories not something I do I just stick with the fat content. My meat is bought from the chiller cabinet, the meat you get in trays and they have fat content on them and as long as it's less than 5g's per 100g's then it's ok to get.
Keeping motivate is a must and for me it's knowing I'm paying for the tablets and they do actually work for so why waste the money. Also I have bought some firmer body trainers (mbt's) and are really hoping that they will tone my legs up, they do seem to make my dogs walk a bit more of an effort and the nurse also said that they are very good, and that is yet more money that would be wasted if I don't stick to it.
Another thing is I have found my grocery shopping bill has actually reduced so win win situation :D
I hope the slimfast works for you. As for the meals without tablets - it would be more difficult to stick to if we didn't have meals off now and again and it would be sad if we couldn't celebrate birthdays etc without counting calories and/or fat content.
Keep it up
i have one meal off a week as i'm now at the point where i am trying to eat as i will once off the tablets.
