3 weeks 1day pain free

hi everyone,

not enough positive posts I hear!!

Well. Having overdone it about day 8 I learnt my lesson. After that I took it slow but positive.

3 weeks on and this is the fist night I can say that I am sitting here pain free. I know when I go to stand up I am going to ache, but at this moment in time I feel great👯👯👯👯👯👯👯👯👯

so for all you newbes who are feeling sorry for themselves tonight because they can't sleep and hurt I am telling you it does get better every day so hang on in there😄😄

we are here if you want to rant, we listen when the family doesn't. We understand.

I hope you are well out there. I know we are all over the place, usa, Canada, Australia wherever you are, I hope you are comfortable

lots of love

Thanks so much Carol for the great reminder! At day day 11, I have to constantly tell myself that I need to recognize even good stretches of a few hours, even three hours sleep in a row now compared to a week ago when it was maybe an hour of sleep. I took a seated shower by myself for the first time this afternoon alone! Can't wait for my husband to come home to a clean wife! I know when the time comes for my second hip to be done, I won't hesitate to do it. The amazing thing was literally waking up from surgery without the arthritis pain that has been dibilatating over the last 1.5 years. Cheers to you and everyone fighting to get back to their own normal.

👯🍷😎👏💪💃

Sitting up in bed getting ready for the night sessions of toilet trips numb bum etc.I am taking it slow and tho still taking pain meds most discomfort is from stitches knitting. First of the clips out Monday rest Tuesday. Another hurdle completed. Have a good night from a rainy Northern Ireland.

So glad you got to have a shower- really refreshing, especially in this weather ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Its amazing something simple you take for granted like a shower becomes such a pleasure

my second hip is on the way out, but consultant says I have a few years yet. Won't hesitate to get it done.

good luck for a bit of sleep - nightmare isn't it.

Be comfortable

lots of love

Good luck with the clips. I had dissolvable stitches lots of you on here had clips or staples, I wonder what's best. Have to say have had no trouble with mine.

My weeing has slowed down now, thought the surgeon had done something to my bladder!! 😳

my bum hurt, trouble unless you are standing you are always on it. I have to say all mine have eased off

goodnight hope you get some sleep

lots ps of love

Go Carol !!

i swapped my endone for a glass of wine and slept the whole night so am feeling pretty good today.!!!

Day 11 and  as you say every day is better. Loving the understanding from this forum it has helped me A LOT and I wouldn't have joined had it been negative because that's not helpful.

It's a lovely sunny winters day in Wollongong Australia so I'm heading for a beach walk with my family. Bye for now hipsters x

🌞🌊🏃💖

Ah a glass of wine. I'm on blood thinning injections for 4 seek so resisting the temptation. How will you manage a beach walk on crutches. Sounds ideal tho.

good morning carol ...

thank you for sharing ... well, it is not so much negative reports but more concerns and questions we have, I think ... where can we go better than here and share?  but so good and encouraging to read the accomplishments and little victories ... that too we understand like noone else ...

warm hug

I was given aspirin to take instead. On a stick now and the footpath was all flat. Sunshine worked a treat.

👍💌🌈

Belly jag for 4 weeks and been told crutches for 5" weeks. Every consultant is different. Enjoy the sun.

what a lovely post Carole!!! it says what we all want to say and more xx
