I have just finished a three day course of antibiotics for a uti,passing water is really painfull, and i am going crazy with the lack of sleep, can anyone help
Go careful Denise the same thing happened to me but a few days after i finished the antibiotics i got worse, i was shivering, high tempeture and bringing water back up, it turned out to be e coli and i had to be re admitted into hospital for 3 nights. It was really ill. I had taken a water sample with me to the hospital when i went back to be told what they had found in my womb but they didn't get back to me with the results, it could have prevented my stay in hospital. It could be that the antibiotic you were given is not what you need for the infection you have. You need to go back to your GP with another sample for testing. Try using a hot water bottle on the bottom of your tummy. Drink lots of water as it will dilute the urine. You could also try cranberry juice but don t have it if you re on blood thinners. I ve been a sufferer of UTI s for years and am feeling your pain. 
Thanks for taking the time to respond I contacted my GP so fingers crossed they will give me a further course of antibiotics, drinking loads of water, but will try the cranberry juice
