3 weeks out of hip replacement . Still can't sleep longer than 3 hours pain has eased a little . Dr ordered 4 weeks of PT but PT cut me off at 2 weeks which I think is nuts my insurance had no problems paying for 4 weeks .
Hi Susan,
The interrupted sleep is tough - been there with my first THR, but easier for me this time around. Just hang on there as it gets easier.
Re PT - I don't quite get this. I would likely just go to another clinic and continue on.
I hope things continue to improve and that you have long, happy and uninterrupted dreams tonight.
Big hugs
L
Wow, only 2 weeks of PT (if you mean Physical Therapy). I can't imagine that it is enough time. I am not as self motivated as I should be so for me it's really helpful to have the support of a professional. I'm picked up by the county so there is no excuse for me not to do my exercises-I get 12 weeks (used to be 16) 2 times a week. I hope you are self motivated.
Hi..I'm 10wks post op from my second thr...I still don't sleep all night unless I take something. My thigh muscles are sooooo tight.I guess they have to heal from the inside now..I had my right hip done last year and 3 days after this surgery my right thigh is partially numb and it hurt. I have to see a neurologist next weekn to see if I have a pinched nerve. This makes my recovery stall.
But it gets better around week 4. Every day it gets easier.
