I am 30 in two weeks and have what is believed to be ovarian cysts. The first doctor in a&e stated 'burst blood vessel' the second doctor 'urgent ultrasound' where the secretary did not read the 'urgent' part and I have been waiting 3 and a half weeks. New doctor on phone states 'large cyst' and suggest a see a woman doctor tomorrow.
So far I have had a bursting sensation on 28th Dec on my left side and what felt like a ball sending out sharp spikes of pain, period pain x10000, so much so all I could do was sit on sofa with hot water bottle in tears. Now after painkillers that don't work anymore and a terribly painful period, I have a dull ache (which i'm told is me used to the pain) that has spread into my pelvic bones, hip bone and back so it feels like someone is scooping out my insides or kneeling heavily on my hip to snap it.
I can't sit still as I am so uncomfortable and I am utterly exhausted, feel lightheaded and faint. It is the 35th day of feeling awful and it only seems to be getting worse and I don't think us women get a far hearing as far as this goes!!
Has anyone else had these kind of sensations? What happened? I am so terrified and neurotic at the moment about this I lie in bed convinced it is the end for me!

Whatever you do don't stop talking to the doctors! The paper trail will eventually find its way to someone who can solve the problem. I live in New Zealand and have been suffering for over a year. While I hope your experience is nothing like mine, I can relate to your feelings. For at least six months my normal doctor told me I was just under stress and that I should quit my job. I had headaches, mild continuous pain on my sides, no energy, and about every two weeks I end up crumbled in a mess with major abdomen pain. That doctor once told me that I was seeking attention, that's when I decided to seek a second opinion. I found someone who listened and they instantly set me on the right path. I have three types of ovarian cysts and can see some sense and a way forward. The biggest issue I found was not knowing, So again I suggest you keep asking questions and keep talking. The more information given about a puzzle the easier it is to solve.
Hi im 20 and i am going through the same thing as you i feel like its the end for me too. I have been to my doctors and hospital but all i get is you have a kidney stone!. I did see a nice female doctor who said you show signs of cystic ovaries so she booked me in at the urology unit and again! i get you may have a kidney stone. What makes me mad is endometrosis runs in both sides of my family but they say im too young even though my mum was diagnosed with it at sixteen.
