3D print

Hi hippies,
Two years ago I had a TRHR . No probs with the operation but have had pretty constant groin pain since. I have had many investigations and scans but the problems persist. I have seen my surgeon this week who says a 3D print will provide more information. Has anyone else had one?. I would be interested
to hear your views.
Take care of those hips.

i am quite interested as i also had RTHR 2 years ago, it all went well, no probs, good recovery. I have also been blighted with groin pain and lower back pain. I went back in March to see a physio who told me my hip was so bad when they replaced it that i will always have pain, wont be able to walk up hills or stairs without pain, and a would need to walk with walking poles as I trip over a lot, and I was absolutely not to run or jump!!! So much the same as before the op but just not so much pain!!!
I have been thinking about going back but don’t want to be a nuisance. Let me know whether your 3D print shows anything

I will be very interested in hearing about this 3D print, your story sounds almost identical to mine. Still have to have my other hip done, I was hoping this would fix my problems as my new hip has made that leg longer.

hi Christine, sorry to hear about your post OP. groin and back pain. I haven’t experienced any back pain just groin, thigh and buttock mainly. When speaking to the surgeon this week I said I didn’t expect all these problems. Apparently 95% of hip replacements are successful. I am also having another (4th) cortisone injection in addition to the 3ď print but don’t know at present how long the wait will be until I know the outcome. I understand how you feel, perhaps discuss it with your GP. Take care.

Hi Judy, hope you aren’t in too much pain, I have had so many investigations I feel as if there is no end to this pain, having a 4th cortisone injection as well as the production of the 3d print, what great technology!. Will keep you posted when I know the outcome. Take care.

I Had hip replacement surgery back in APRIL of this year. i am having constant pain in left leg, groin and low back. please keep me posted on you outcome.

Hi Martha, sorry to hear your having all that pain. It’s not quite what you expect is it?.I am absolutely fed up with it and hope this 3d print will provide clarity , but don’t know how long I will have to wait. Will keep you posted. Take care
