Good Morning Ladies
I am nearly 52 and really suffering with the menopause. Have tried Elleste Duet first but felt sick on it all the time. I then had Femseven Sequi patches but they just kept coming off. So my current regime is Oestrogel and Utrogestan which I have been taking vaginally. I've been on this regime for just over 3 weeks now. Started the Utrogestan on day 15 as instructed but only managed to take it for 7 days. I have developed a urine infection and feeling so irritated with a stinging sensation down below, hence couldn't bear inserting another Utrogestan. I was just wondering what other ladies use as the Progesterone part of their regime and does it matter that I've only taken the Progesterone for 7 days instead of the recommended 12?
I'm hoping that I am able to find and settle on the right combination to help my mood and brainfog.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Much Love Petra x
Isn't HRT great! If it wasn't for the side effects! I too am struggling. I'm 49 and have been having menopausal symptoms for past 2 or 3 yrs. I tried the Est Duet but it give me lactose intolerance but got rid of all my symptoms, tried Femiston but that didn't work as well on symptoms and still had me running to loo after every meal. Tried a patch, had it on a week, symptoms reduced but then after breakfast last week got violent cramps, fainted and then had vomiting and diarrhoea! So fed up! I'm trying the lady care magnet and must admit I'm not as hot as I have been. It's not effected my mood yet still feel lethargic and disinterested. Hope you can find one that works. It's a complete pain isn't it.
Absolutely Joycie. I will try and stick with this regime for 3 months but if I don't see any improvement will give up on the HRTfor time being. I would be interested to hear how you get on with the magnet. My 80 year old mother has more energy and joy for life than I have at the moment. I'm just fed up with myself right now. I will definitely come back as a man in my next life :-) x
Hi Petra
I have not been on HRT and my medical doctor does not really agree with it because for one I am diabetic, have had high blood pressure and high heart rate at times, I'm also on levothyroxine for low thyroid and my symptoms have been a roller coaster too. My doctor suggested for me to be on a low dose of zoloft to help stop the anxieties and depression. You should try the natural progesterone find a compound pharmacy to help you and talk to your doctor about if HRT is right for you it may not be right for you if you are having a lot of issues with it.
