Hi everyone.
So for a long time, I have always had what I called a 'funny stomach'. It just meant I felt sick a lot and it would go away. When I was about 14/15, I started having bouts of intense stomach pain and vomiting. I would then completely lose my appetite for up to a month which meant I was eating sometimes less than 1000 calories a day for over a month. You would think I excessively lost weight but that was the strange thing. I barely lost any weight. Anyways, so it got to a point at ages 16 and 17 where I was vomiting nearly every morning and often not making it to school as I would be lying on the bathroom floor for hours. I was going to multiple doctors but nothing was coming up. I was tested for heart conditions, stomach ulcers, intestinal problems, anxiety and depression, bacterial infections and nothing was coming back. Many doctors have said that they believe it is a parasite of some kind but have never been able to identify one. Other doctors have told me its all in my head an that it is anxiety which is definitly not it at all. I took medication for giardia and nothing happened. I am now 18 and recently went on holiday to France where I threw up and had bad diarrhoea nearly every morning, my stomach cramps were so bad my boyfriend nearly took me to the hospital and nothing made it better. I was put on medication at 17 for acid reflux, nausea and depression and nothing has made it better, finding that I am still experiencing extreme abdominal pain and vomiting.
Someone, please help! I am going to university soon and I don't know how to deal with this alone. I can't keep skipping class because I can't leave the bathroom floor. I don't know what to do. If you have any ideas please let me know.
Hiya , have you had any camera investigations or scans ?
I was like you from appx aged 10 .. first vomiting bouts but by time i was 18 diarrhoea all the time , anyway numerius tests and cameras shiwed nothing ,, this is because their tests are bottom scale cheap lazy tests , had they not have been they would have detected my disease before it perforated my bowel . I was told for years i have ibs .. i actuallu had diverticulitis that they managed to miss.
Ask them to test for that disease as antibiotics can clear it up , not get rid of it but stop symptoms from stopping you having a life x
Have you had a gastric emptying test done for gastroparesis?
hey yes I have had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy they came back with mild gastroenteritis that was treated and my doctor said it was too mild to have caused such aggressive symptoms.

May I ask. Have you been seeing multiple doctors or do you have a main GP overseeing everything?
I was seeing a GP at first who then referred me to three separate specialists. One for my heart, one for my stomach and one for my mental health. All have been stumped on what it could be.
It might be worth continuing to see your GP. That way you get some continuity of care?
I know you have a lot going on, so having someone oversee it may help. Xxx
I feel like Rainbow77 has something Though I never had throwing up I've had years of tender tummy and a weird nervous feeling Diarhia for years and then one night I stood up from the toilet and it looked like a murder scene there was so much blood A few months later I ended up in ER and the found Diverticulitis You don't always bleed But it's awful I have to have bowel removed Not sure if you that But it can hide with only a couple of symptoms Good Luck
