At home 4 days after surgery & seem to have got a badly upset stomach/ diarrhea problem. I did read this could be caused by antibiotics etc used during & after surgery, but wondered if anyone else had had this situation?

Normally Bob, most people are constipated due to the painkillers, I was going to say you are lucky it is not the other way round

Congrats on getting your op, take it easy for a few days, you will start to feel the benefit in a couple of weeks, then progess will be a lot faster.
I agree with Jen, missing the constipation bit sounds like you were lucky.
check in with your surgeon. dehydration could be a issue. drink water and in some cases the meds given for surgery and antibiotics can have the side effects if you have anti D meds to start asap. will usually help as well as food to help .. yogurts etc. i had antibiotics for surgery too which always effects me the same way after surgery. it does kill all the good bacteria in the gut .. causing the D.
