Hi,
I had open surgary in April to remove a cyst, ovary and tube on my right side. I still have everything on my left side.
My periods since the op haven't been right is this normal?
They seem to start then stop and then start again and then stop until next month. And my last one came a week early.
I have some pain on my left side this morning but not sure what thats related to.
I'd be grateful for some advice.
This happened to me. I had my left ovary taken out due to cysts. Maybe a year later my right side started getting multiple cysts every month. You should check with your Gyno and get an ultrasound to see if it is a cyst
I had the same thing done in april i had my left ovary and tube taken out do to cysts i also had a cysts on my right side but they disappeared i still get some pain on my right side once in a while but i can deal with it and as far as your period u should ask your gyn cause i can't help u with that cause i am going through menopause i don't get it anymore i has been a year for me but ask your gyn
I had a tubo ovarian abscess that was 15cm, after many attempts to get rid of it ie antibiotics and also laparotomy to drain it. I was advised that the only way to stop it coming back was to have my right tube and ovary removed.
I had to have another laparotomy (open surgery). This was nearly 2 years ago. It did take a while for my periods to kick back in, but since then they are really regular and I have noticed that they don’t last as long as they used to.
They will get back to normal again soon.
I haven’t had anyone to talk to about my ops, as I feel like I am just going on about it. But it has really affected me!
