Hi, I'm taking 30mg mirtazapine. I was very up and down the first few weeks, it took  a while to get me feeling settled. I've been taking them 5 months now and I feel much better, pretty much back to normal. If you are very concerned about the way they are making you feel though you should get back to talk to your doctor.

I've been taking mirtazapine off and on for several months.  I was prescribed the lowest dose - 15 mg. but it makes me sleepy but I do think  it helps me emotionally.  From time to time I have cut down to 7.5 mg. but that didn't help with the sleepiness and didn't give me emotional relief.  Everyone reacts differently.  I do know that going "cold turkey"  causes withdrawal symptons - almost like the flu.  Many people say that it takes quite awhile before you see the benefits.  One friend said it was a life saver for her. Good luck, Ruby
