4 weeks post op tomorrow

today my lovely sis-in-law took me in her car to her morning  art class , it was great to see a road that was not my own and fantastic to talk to a new group of people and to be creative! i took my raised cushion for the car (sat on a plastic bag to swivel) and for the painting session - happy day today!

It is good to get out again . I am almost 8 weeks now so am driving . I have an automatic and op on left leg which is great .

Good luck

Makes you appreciate the little things, doesn't it. Onwards and upwards x

Sounds good!

I walked with friends to our local library, to hear a lecture/reminescences of speedway racing in Exeter, at the speedway/rugby ground where my new house now stands. I've been trying to work out exactly where on the circuit my house was built....

My first evening out, and hope to make a movie this week too

Good luck for further excursions

Amazing how good it feels to get out with other people, after being so confined to the house, isn't it!!  We often get so wrapped up in our own healing process and pain, that we sometimes forget there is a whole world of things out there!  When we get out in the world, we realize what all we've been missing, as we heal.  Glad you were able to have a great day!

I quite agree every time I go out and tell someone I had my op  almost 8 weeks ago they all say wow you are doing well . Don't know if they are right but it gives me a boost .

Great. Happy days and many more for you.

Little steps add up. Progress as we heal!  faster pace of improvement as time goes by, healing takes time. It is a good start to get out and live again!

Take time to rest. U have a great day!

CONGRADULATIONS !

ooooo i also have an automatic and a left leg op - yay!

Great . Driving is no prob , just wish I had a blue parking badge as I am afraid someone will park too close to me  x

Don't get me started on that one!😬
