Hi, not been on this forum for a while now but I am stillooking having minor issues. Sex is still sore and I am leaking a very small amount of urine. Ithe just feels that I have a bubble usually after passing urine. I can cough and sneeze no problem. It's very difficult to explain but and it's almost like it gets stuck in a pocket rather than coming out. Not sure what to do.
Hi Carolyn,
I know exactly what you are saying.
I have same sensation, and back on pads again.
I know I am not emptying bladder properly and once I've left bathroom and walking away I eventually leak or dribble urine.
Have tried the usual of getting up and doing the lift and squeeze while walking around bathroom and sitting back down and relaxing and also tried the standing up and doing a hula hoop as Stephanie (physiotherapist on this site) suggested, this does help most of the time .
I don't know why thus still happens now and again as I have continued to do PF exercises regularly. I know that some days my pelvic floor squeeze is strong and easily done while others days I can hardly do them.
Very worried that I'm doing irreversible damage at work, am looking for alternative work on Gov. Job site but not really finding anything suitable, and maybe better to stay where I am where at least they are trying to accommodate me to some extent.
I think it can take a long time for the pelvic floor muscles to get over the anesthetic, anyway I hope you start to see some improvement soon.

Hi there Carolyn
I wonder if you have tried double voiding? Google double voiding techniques. Wee, stand, hoola hoop, then sit again for a second time, this might help with the residual urine you have. As you can cough and sneeze without leaking it is not stress urinary incontinenece.
And of course, pelvic floor exercises to help get your pelvic floor supporting properly again. If you dont change what you used to do, it will happen again, so pelvic floor exerise, weight control and improving posture are key points to help your surgery last you a lifetime.
Hope this helps
S
If I were you I would see your GP carolyn because you shouldn't be having these problems now. It may be something very simple like an infection but get it sorted out before it gets worse and your anxiety levels go through the roof 😘
