5 months post op. Still dealing with some issues

Had my gallbladder removed on June 8th after dealing with health issue related to it for almost 7 months.

I'm now 5 months post op (laproscopic) and haven't felt this good in a long time.

I'm still dealing with a few minor issues. A few I know will always be there, but there is one I am wondering if anyone has dealt with this.

I know the phantom pain, and the loose BM's, and the instant "I have to go now!" feeling after eating fatty or greasy foods are common,

But has anyone dealt with recurring spasms in the back right upper area after they've had their gallbladder out? I've heard ol that it goes away in time, but also have head that people deal with it for a long time.

Thanks for the help.

I've just seen this and notice that nobody has replied to you.  How unusual.  How are you doing now?  I had all sorts of strange niggling pains for a bit after.  I think it effects folk in differing ways.  Let me know if you're still suffering and I'll reply more.

Dolly, I'm doing pretty well.

I still get pains every now and then. Mostly just feels like spasms. Found out I can't tolerate alcohol like o used too. 2 or 3 causes a lot of discomfort. I also think I was dealing with some issues with my eating not being completely great. I've recently gotten back on the wagon with the healthy eating.

The first month after the surgery was frustrating a cause I would get pain like I had when I had the bad gallbladder.

Tommy,  that is good that you're doing ok.

I think the pains last for a while.  It's your body getting back to normal after surgery.  And getting used to not having the gallbladder.

I think the eating thing is important and it's easy to slip a little bit once you start feeling better.  Sounds like you have lost your tolerance for alcohol.  You will have to build that up eh!!

Glad those bad pains have gone.  They are something else aren't they.

I wish you continued good luck going forward.
