Had my gallbladder removed -it was scared no stones just not functioning. I also have some gastritis. I was ok post -op, (ok with avocado and fat in moderation) except for some loose stool after coffee or dark chocolate. I over indulged with some later night meals and some wine, pasta and such over vacation, and developed symptoms of reflux (cough, throat chest pain and some pain in the middle of my back.) I tried to go back to my good eating..I eat pretty clean and lots of veggies. Started to get pains in my right side, and now I'm getting cramps daily and loose stool with any bit of fat I eat. Has anyone been doing ok.. then worse. I made an appointment with the Dr but it's weeks away. I read to take enzymes with Ox and Betaine online, tried them and they seemed to help for a week, but now I feel like I get an acid taste in my throat and headache (prob from ox bile) after I take them. I worry my health I have two small children. Any advice appreciated. Im feeling really sad because of this. I am fit and eat well, but I like to appreciate wine, coffee, foods.. ahh . Im willing to try supplements but I feel overwhelmed with what I need.
Hello you are not supposed to eat chocolate or drink alcohol or coffee. Especially late at night. That's why you have acid reflux. No fat either. Why do you think people are still sick from consuming wrong foods. That is a no no. If you watch your diet stop those foods you 're eating you will probably feel better. Coffee and wine causing loose stools. Try some fiber and healthy fats. Hope you can do this. Good Luck to you. No eating late remember without gallbladder your digestive system is slower. Bye.
Sorry I don’t eat these foods non stop (chocolate wine etc just when there’s a special occasion) most often I eat healthy low carb, low fat-avocados veggies. Can I have irritated my system that bad that in a week or two of eating some no no’s on vacation can set me back to not being able to eat healthy fats or most food without stomach pain for weeks after vacation is over. My GI as I bet most operate and tell you you will be fine after.
Yes you can irratate your system. You will feel the pains and not feel well a few days after you eat those foods. I learned from my experience. I just want people like us to understand the consequences after eating bad foods that's all. Sorry no pun intended. Have a good day.
Hi Jenn, the problem is even eating or drinking things, if you upset the system prior or after with Gb your body takes so long to calm down. I can't say much about after removal because i still got mine but I have just eaten something which upset the GB, its taken 9 days just for my stool to be back to some normality!! Yet I am still suffering with feeling sick and pains, this is the whole point with GB issues and from what I read in here even after removal.
