I am almost 5 weeks post op from my ankle surgery, I am NWB. I have an appointment tomorrow morning to check up and (hopefully) start walking.
Here is my issue, while hopping to bed last night I hit my little toe off my crutch and I THINK broke it. It is swollen, bruised and very painful.
I am going crazy being bed bound and NWB so I don't want to ruin my chances of getting this cast off. Should I tell my doctor of my accident or keep quiet? Would breaking a toe even matter?
UGH Kelly! That sounds so painful! I believe I broke my little toe years ago and didn't do anything about it. It hurt like holy heck for about 4 months ! But It did heal. Its crooked but I didn't need anything to fix it.
I'm sure your doc will see it. Maybe he can check it out quickly and go from there. I don't think its going to ruin anything for you at this time.
Hi Rose, I literally got hit by a car 6 weeks ago, broke my foot and face and that didn't hurt as much as this does, it's always the little ones :'.
Thank you! I think I'll call tomorrow before my appointment and see what they want to do about it, no point travelling and being in pain for nothing.
OH good lord Kelly, so sorry you were injured so badly! I can not imagine. I hope your on your way to healing , mind and spirit. That is so tough to go through.
And I have to agree, something so small as a paper cut or a stubbed toe hurts like holy ■■■■!
Good luck at the docs if you go.
I'm on my way to mine today too... stitches come out! woohoo!!
