Why am I in so much lower back pain, left side and my bladder hurts, I've had a vaginal hysterectomy and posterior repair. It can't be a water infection as I'm just finish the a course of anti biotic. Really fed up now. Is anyone else the same?

Hi val I had lower back pain for 13 weeks and had lots of water infections and they still come and go at one point my docter send me in to hospt to get my bladder checked and have a cat scan. In the end they said I had a lot going on still and ask me to go back in April for more test if my water infection and my lower back pain didn't go. Well I've only had one so far after 3 weeks and I paid to have acupuncture only went 2 x and it was alot better. It only comes on if I do too much. Hope this helps. If I was you get them to send you for a cat scan to makesure all its ok with your bladder.
When you had your op they may have done somthings to your bladder xx

I m early days, five days post op vag hysterectomy and anterior and posterior repair. Bladder pain not bad but I ve got awful pain in rectum. Hurts to sit down. Wasn t like this at first. Hoping it settles. Hope your problems ease up soon. Claire
Hope it eases a bit for you soon.take pain killers and don't let yourself get constipated. Take lactose or drink prune juice. Good luck X
Dulcoease is brilliant for avoiding constipation. It's not a laxative - it just softens everything to help you pass it without pain. It helped me a lot, especially when I was taking painkillers as they are thing that cause the constipation.- I took one each night and then had no problems going in the morning.

Hey lovely i am 4 wks post TAH and i get a lot of lower back pain. Antibiotics take their time to work. your body is healing lovely. It has been through a lot. I had posterior vaginal repair 2 years ago it took me a good while to recover. You have had 2 precedures. See your gp if it keeps up hun. It is the old cliche everything takes time . You are right you definitely get fed up especially when your in pain. Take care lovelyxxx
Well after waiting all day for phone call from the consultant, he rang and said will try and fit me in tomorrow to see me, and decide where to go from there. God I am so fed up. Never felt so low, my bladder feels like it will explode and kidneys aching loads. Wish I'd never had these things done now. Am feeling so uncomfortable.X
That's bad val well tomorrow I hope you are booked inn? If not gp ans sir down there. He needs to send you for a cat scan or scan on your tummy to look at your bladder and kidneys tp found out what's going out because your surgeon could of damage one of them when you had the op. That's why I got took in for the night. I do feel for you but you can always just Ho A&E if the pain is that bad. I'd the pain is 9 or 10 I would go to the hospital. Under 7 just wait till tomorrow. Please don't wait for your docter xx
Thanks I will, if it's just a really bad water infection then at least it can be sorted out with anti biotics and move on. I will keep my hot water bottle and heat pad on. Been drinking loads but no joy. Wish I was a bloke, easy life lol xx

Lol that made lol. I do wish sometimes. Man are so lucky. Well I've got antibiotics strong 500 grams just incase for after this one as gone. I Brought some water dips from eBay to check when I feel I have got one. That's how much I keep getting them. Chin up my lovely xx

How long were you off work with your posterior repair? I'm coming up for 6 weeks on Friday and will need a further sick note as I'm no where near ready to go back.X
About 8 wks hun then went back on restricted duties xx
Thanks I'll ask for longer then. I still feel uncomfortable inside, feels like it's squashing against inside of the vagina like it's a lot worse than before, maybe it's prolapsed. Will never go through anything like that again. Just thought I was getting a hysterectomy vaginally then they did that also as said I needed it. It's a mess in there and the thoughts of having sex really scares me. Won't be even contemplating that for a long time yet X
