Thanks dawn, it's just a waiting game now
Hello Sabrina. What an ordeal you have been through. So sorry. I think you have to keep a list of all the questions you have and ask them of the professionals. I know that with my tibia and fibula break, the minute one question was answered, another fear and another worry entered my head as I went through the long recovery process. A friend had a similar experience to you in that a stress fracture in her foot wasnt picked up for over 6 weeks and, like you, only on MRI was it found. Nonetheless, after wearing a surgical boot for three months, she is absolutely fine now. But, please do ask the questions of the professionals to allay any concerns. Whilst we are in recovery, we need to free ourselves as much as possible of worries that can impact upon our emotional well being. Our reserves will be very low and we have to accept we are particlarly vulnerable and susceptible to overthink. Good luck with your recovery
Tell them you want one to immobilize the sprain. Or at least a good moonboot. If you get a cast, every thing will be covered 24/7. A moon boot provides similar but you can take it off for showed. I had a compression bandage, covered by padding, then a bandage- crepe. It makes it more comfortable.
Yes, have a list. This is just an idea.....
*what is MRI outcome
*what is treatment
*I'm worried that my foot has ligament and tendon damage from the twist. I think a cast or moonboot will help immobilize it. Spin some crap and say your friend had something similar and was casted or moonbooted. ( let's face it ,We ARE your friends, have had something similar, and have had either Moonboot, casts, or cast first then moonboot .to keep injury stable)

*Etc
Keep in mind if you are having bad swelling, a moonboot can be adjusted very easily.
Good luck.
