Hi all, I have to be at the hospital in six hours. I wanted to say thank you to all of you. I don't know what I would have done without you. I would have so many questions and uncertainties, but I don't because of the generous way you have all given your time and experiences to this forum. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am enjoying a King sie Hershey chocolate bar... in honor of my old hip and my new hip! Well actually I just love chocolate and I throught this is a real reason to have chocolate, not just an excuse. LOL... love you all, talk with you on the other side, as an official hippie

Best of luck it will be fine l have had my 2 done in last 4 months and its been worth it . No OA pain its totally gone now just healing and l am getting better everyday.

Cindy, sending love and light to you. I can remember leaving for hospital and all my nerves and worries disappeared. My partner remarked on how calm I was and I laughed
"Apart from you and the family, I have about 50 people on the forum all rooting for me"

Hopefully the operation has all been done now, take it easy, let us know your feelings and how conditions change through the next few weeks. It must be great to have it finally doen, and NOW is the time for more chocolate, keep on nibbling

Hi Cindy, best of luck with the op, not that you will need it, you will be fine and yeahhh we will have a new hippy.
I am too late to catch you before your operation, but my hopes and wishes are the same - for the best possible outcome and recovery.
And remember, that the first days are tough, but each day gets a little easier ...and if you need to whinge or need advice, you have a super of community of hippies to call one.

P.S. You already know about the therapeutic value of chocolate ... chocolate ice cream is even better with all the extra calcium!
