Help? Symptoms are excessive urination, frequency and need, R lower quadrant pain, myoclonic jerks frequent, fatigue. Have had abd. CAT-scan, abd ultra-sound, colonoscopy, upper GU, X-rays, nothing shows. 1 year history, swallowed a screw, never found, neg on X-ray, knee replacement revision same time frame, knee does not feel good now. Am pending results urine testing/blood tests, looking for lots of possibilities, among them toxic metal in my body. Have been focused on the abdomen, but if its a metal thing, only possible besides lost screw is the metal in the knee. Feeling a bit lost, if I don't get a diagnosis soon locally, guessing next stop is a major medical center, (UCLA, MAO, ??)
CT scan did not show your swallowed screw ?
This is complicated case, and needs a specialist consultation.
Yeah, the screw thing was about a year ago, I checked poop for a few days, found nothing, went to my Doc, did an X-ray, "nothing", he said I musta passed it.
Whatever, I felt ok in any event. About the same time, I had that knee replacement revision. 3/4 mos later, started getting an uncomfortable feeling in the groin, bought new underwear, no help, next the strange sensation L abdomen, urological issues, and the myoclonic stuff. Multiple tests, multiple MD"s, no diagnosid. The testing now is shot gun, one of which looks for heavy metal toxicity. Don't know what to look for next, if all these come back clean. Very frustrating. Thanks for the reply.
That's R abdomen.
