I have had this pain in the bum for about 3 days now, worse when I bend down. I don't have pain when going to the loo. Exercise seems to make it worse. What shall I do apart frm rest?
Jane, if you had a posterior prolapse repaired (I've not had one) I THINK this is par for the course and can go on for a while yet. I THINK it's down to painkillers but hope someone else on here can help. I think it's all to do with how they anchor the prolapse to get the best long term result. But it should ease eventually. But do get advice from others because I'm just going on what I've read.
hi jane im 7wks post opp now and was suffering from back problems b4 the operation so was on tablets ... i had anteria and posteria prolapse and did suffer from what u have mentioned ,,, maybe not as much as you as on painkillers anyway for my back which i think have helped the pain andfter surgery but have had sharp pains in my buttocks from time to time iv spoke to people on here about these pains and they do go away but as everthing id does take time ... i think its because the surgery is in that area or close to so causing this pain for a time after .... if tha pain is very bad go to your gp and ask for muscle relaxant pain killers which im on anyway .. see how you fee but hope things get better .. take care
Thanks Jackie, That is very reasurring. I am taking Ibruprofin and paracetamol. I feel better today so hopefully it is just a phase of healing.
