6 Weeks post op...getting depressed

Hi, im 6 weeks post op for my MVD surgery i have full facial numbness on right surgical side, i continue to have headaches. When i seem to have a “ good” day that consists of being able to go to my desk job for a maximum of 3hrs, which for the following 2 days im laid back up not being able to get off the couch.  I keep telling myself that this was major brain surgery and im 50 yrs old that im going to spring back like i had a cold, but i also cant seem to help feeling like i should feel better than how i do. 

I completely weened off my carbamezepine as well as baclofen 3 days ago. Is this normal to feel like this and roughly how long did it take you to start feeling like you were alive again? 

I really had no idea what the side effects would be as my surgeon told me nothing except 6 week recovery time. Well im at 6 weeks this wed and my accomplishment today was wash 2 loads of laundry which is sitting in front of dryer bc well i dont have the energy to put it away 😢

Side affects are different for everybody, don’t lose hope things will get better. I have had 2 MVD surgeries. My first was  quick recovery but pain returned 6 months later and worse than before. My second had many complications & a year later still going thru some. But most of all I have no pain just tightness  & tender at pain site. So I have started CBD twice a day, relaxes nerve and releases tenderness. Got my life back and continue to move forward. Try to stay positive and continue to move forward. Keeping a journal of where you are and where you have been helps. Best of Luck
