Went to try and do a pap (my last one) and couldnt because of the pain. The doctor wanted me to shoot this Estradial but cant even get the tube in there. I want to start MacaPause and wanted to see if anybody else here has done that. I also have Menopause Moisture Creme but had been reluctant and thinking that nobody else is going through this so I better not use nothin! Big mistake. Just need help from other 65yr olds going through this too and maybe share what natural stuff you are using or even if the prescribed stuff is working. Open to all discussions for this age group. I been seeing where 71 yr olds are using BHRT. WOW I thought this was supposed to stop when I was 55....................... Who knew!
Hey! Sorry, honey! This sucks! I just turned 55. Yesterday, at the end of my rope, I called my gyno and asked for a prescription for bio-identicals. I can’t do another day of dry vag. Sex is out of the question right now and has been for about 2 years now. Now, I want to change that and get my life back. So I went on Prometrium (progesterone) and Estradiol…starting last night. Woke up with terrible night sweat (which I stopped getting about 3 weeks ago and was finally getting some sleep!!!) and did not get back to sleep. I cried for hours! I just started on these bio-identicals so can’t give you any info yet but I started using Luvena about 2 months ago. Gyno suggested it for dryness. Get it a Target it’s cheaper there. It’s a tube of vag moisturizer and works ok. I’ve got 2 tubes left and will use them but hopefully, the bio-identicals will lube me back up and I won’t need Luvena. But try it, if nothing else, it helps a bit and may work well for you and it’s non-hormonal. I use maca powder in smoothies, on pb&j sandwiches etc several times a week in hopes that it will give me my libido back so that may be of use. Have you tried bio-identicals? Ask your doctor and do lots of research, I’m praying they help me! Hot flashes, thinning hair, dry, hot mouth, dry vag, no libido, moody/angry, this all is awful but we just have to find what works and run with it. Keep looking, try your moisturizer or Luvena and know you are not alone in this. Hugs to you! -K
try estriol cream its about the only thing that will eventually help and it does. It is a very weak estrogen cream and my doctor said he didn’t expect any problems.
