Quick update I went to see gynaecologist who performed my surgery today . She is pleased with operation and explained about the uneven looking scar I still have some of the deep stitches so it should smooth out in time . I'm still in pain after emptying my bowels and that should settle down . Also I've tried intercourse twice and it's really uncomfortable after high up in my pelvic area . So I guess I just need to keep being patient. I was disappointed as I was discharged because she is no longer doing treatments at the hospital I went to and said if I've still problems after 4 months to get my GP to do a new referral. Hopefully that won't be necessary.
Your Surgeon was a Urogynaecologist right? It really does take a year for it all to settle completely down and be how it's going to be. Use plenty of lube for intercourse
I'm not sure she had the uro bit before gynaecologist what is the difference? I've not trouble with intercourse as such (I don't feel the op has made much difference to the tightness) it's the discomfort after it's a deep ache,it's the same pain if I have a full bowel and after emptying my bowels it aches for a while. It will take as long as it takes I suppose thanks for the reply x
Urogynaecologists have had way more training to do pelvic floor repairs, than a Gynaecologist which probably in my mind means they are way better qualified and skilled at doing them.
