Hi there,

I had my gallbladder removed 11 weeks ago. I did have diarrhea and recommend you try caltrate 600 plus vitamin d. 1 tablet 3 times a day with food. Start off with half a tablet twice a day and see if that stops the diarrhea if not take 3 half tablets and then work up slowly to 1 tablet 3 times a day. You may not need the full 3. I take 2 per day and have had no Diarrhea the last few weeks. Calcium carbonate will Soak up the bile and firm up your bowel movements.I don't have any experience of pain at this point but just wanted to tell you about the calcium. It's brilliant stuff and worth a try. Take care.

Hi whit,

My gallbladder news only removed last September, have been having niggles all the time. My doctor says diverticulitus playing up. But do know the difference. Yes would love my body to be as it was.

I just hope that it will not go on being there for years.

Hope you get it sorted soon.. would like to know how you get on.

Hello,

I had my GB removed two years ago and I also still get horrific pains like I used to before surgery. Has any Doctor mentioned SOD (Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction) to you? It's to do with the bile duct. It can be treated dependant on the individual by an ERCP and placing a stent inside the duct to stop it contracting.

Hope that info could be of use to you! I know too well how miserable it is!
