8 Days Post Hammer Toe Surgery x3 Toes

Hi all

Well I'm 8 days post op , had 3 toes on my left foot done .

Feel fantastic , no worries or complaints at this point

I had to get the dressing changed 5 days in as it was too loose , they told me at the hospital

That was due to my swelling going down , my stitches will be out 12 days in .

The nurse said my pins would be out after 4 weeks but the hospital said 6?

I'm not sure to be happy about that or not ? Is 4 too soon , has anyone else had pins out at 4wks?

Can I ask how old you are?. I have been trying for years with my GP and podiatrist to get something done. I think that I have hit the aggeism wall.

im 44  , I waited 7 weeks after my initial consultation for surgery , why ageism ? How old are you 

and why had ur GP delayed you having surgery ?

I'm 79.; Seems that GP and hospital podiatrist think it too late for action.
