Bottom line if your suffering from severe pain, get the operation. All the horror stories are from people who wait 4 or 5 days to have a bowel movement, it is inessential you go no later than day 2 days after the operation.
The swelling ( muscle spasms ) are the only thing to really worry about with the rite amount of pain killers and stool softeners you will fly rite through the recovery..
Forgot to mention on top of the hemarectomy I also received a spinctorectomy for 2 anal fissures that for sure were more painful than the recovery when they were at there peak. The most important thing you will need is a detachable shower head and a sidz. I poop in the sidz than clean with shower head...good luck to all, and remember must poop on day 2 no later, cause the local is still working.
Hello Arok, I am facing the surgery and I am freaking out. I am so concerned about complications and failure of effect. But my life is being destroyed by my painful bleeding hemorrhoids. I am missing work and in daily pain that is intolerable. Would you highly recommend the surgery? Any advice would be so appreciated. x
Yes do it, I suffered for many years some flare ups I wanted to kill myself. Most important thing is to prepare your self for surgery, start a high fiber diet a week before the surgery, drink water like it's your job, find a experienced surgeon who has been at it for a long time...follow instructions carefully..if you have any questions dont hesitate, I will check post daily...
If you have been suffering with painful hems, this is no worst than a 7 day flare up, all the stories you have been reading are people who had hems that were not painful so after the surgery they step into our world. Let me know when your close to surgery, and I will let you know what helps and what doesnt... Good luck... been 9 full days recovery for me and I would do it every month for 3 weeks off work..Hahahahaha... dont get discouraged, keep you head held high and do what you got to do...you will do fine...
Just did some browsing, dont start sticking apples up there, sorry I'm laughing my ass off...hahahahaha,if your in the New York tri state area, I can recommend a great surgeon...dont be scared of it not working it has a 97% rate of curing the problem and the other 3% are probably still better off...
